Harihari Quiet Accommodation
In 1931 Hari Hari on the West Coast became the landing site of the first solo Trans-Tasman flight. Australian Guy Menzies set off without the knowledge of his parents from Sydney in a biplane and they only found out when they received the message that Guy had survived the crash landing in the La Fontaine swamp on the West Coast of New Zealand. Be sure to view the replica biplane situated on the main road.
