Light - Stanbeth Gallery

Ground floor, 24 Custom Street East, Britomart, Auckland City
Auckland's Diwali (Festival of Lights) revellers of 2006 were encouraged to share their photographs capturing the celebrations at home or at public events such as the Britimark festivities. The result is Light, an exhibition comprising of the 60 best images from 45 photographers who were selected from the hundreds of public submissions.
Ingrid Boberg: Dead Nice - White Space
28 May-16 June, Tue-Fri 11-6, Sat 11-4

In this exhibition of large-format digital photographs, Boberg orchestrates artificial scnes evoking profound philosophical discourse. The elaborate compositions of found figurines are instrumental in enabling the viewer to be both audience and narrator as they navigate their way through compilations of mini-scenarios and suburban landscapes.
Contemporary Group Show - Roger Williams Contemporary

A group exhibition of New Zealand and international photography including Richard Orjis (New Zealand), Polixeni Papapetrou (Australia) and Geoffrey Heath (New Zealand). Selected works from Polixeni Papapatrou's Wonderland series of 2003-2004 will be exhibited.
Geoffrey Heath is steadily gaining a reputation for his dark and quirky take on everyday life. Included in this exhibition will be his 2002 triptych Lifestream featuring the trinkets of suburbia - a plastic budgie, a crystal bonsai tree and a fish caught in a beaded spiral.
Afterlife - Snowwhite Gallery

Afterlife is a photographic exhibition that explores the concept of a next life, another life that we observe daily: a concept that lends itself to the emergence of photographer today, such as Amelia Keenan, Amy Clarke, Daniel Rose, Jessica Hill, Milana Radojic, Nikki Barrett, Sam Hartnett and Troy Goodall.
