Northland Beaches, Where The Sand Spans for Miles
At Ripiro Beach, Northland, you'll encounter the longest driveable beach in New Zealand. It extends 100 kilometres from Maunganui Bluff in the north, to Pouto Point at the entrance to the Kaipara Harbour in the south.
Visit the remote Pouto Lighthouse and view the site of 150 shipwrecks, dig for tuatua or net for fish. Alternatively you can experience Baylys Beach on horseback.
